Pout Post: Jeffree Star "Redrum"

21:04 Endi Feng 1 Comments

Another Pout Post, another new brand to try out. I was so adventurous on lippies game last April. I bought several indie brand of lip colours. And loving it! In this Pout Post, and more to come, are some of my fave lip colour products that I personally love.

JEFFREE STAR COSMETICS
YASSS! It's the Jeffree Star's very own makeup brand. I'm very excited about this since it hasn't even launched yet. But never took the bait to buy any, because online shops in Indonesia always selling 16-20 US$ cosmetics up to Rp 350.000 - Rp 400.000(27-31 US$). I don't want to buy anything personally from overseas, because I don't want to deal with Indonesia's custom charges. So if we are about to purchase any marked up-pricing cosmetics, it's for the "dealing fee" with custom, and the overseas shipping fee. *sigh*

This Redrum is sooo gorgeous. I can't say it's a warm, or cool toned red. It has a little bit of everything. I couldn't ask for more! Jeffree Star is killing it in matte liquid lipstick's formula. It sets into matte quickly, didn't leave that sticky/tacky feel when clamped the lips together.

I immediately bought this one right after Hellua, @thelipstickmafiaaa On Instagram posted her swatch of Redrum. And watched Manny MUA on youtube reviewing this lippie, I want it even more!

The applicator is perfect to put on the liquid lipstick without outlining using lip pencil. And the amount of product that picked up on the felt tip applicator is the perfect amount to do my lips. No double coat for the lip swatch on my photos. Crazily pigmented! And long lasting!

The packaging is pretty! Clear plastic, with lipstick bullet shape, and pink rim/cap. Opaque from the very first swipe, and no chemically annoying smell. Feels so light on the lips, and no 'coating' feel (if you used the Lime Crime velvetines or LASplash Lip Couture liquid lipsticks, you'll know what I mean).

Have you heard, or try any Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipsticks?

If you're in Indonesia, you can get yours at Padusee on Instagram(click here).

Pout Post: Colourpop Matte Lippiestix

17:08 Endi Feng 1 Comments

Hi, lovely readers..

I am so late get into the indie brands' lippies game. Let's kickstart it from the affordable, great colour payoff, & lovely formula.

COLOURPOP.

I've heard of this brand from many months ago, and I took the plunge, bought 2 of them last April after every fellow makeup junkies have raved about it. Teehee~
I got Lumiere & Tootsi matte Lippie Stix.

I love the formula, so so much! It glides like dream, very pigmented, & that kind of matte which doesn't dry out the lips. It's not chalky at all, although the colours that I choose are nude/greige(grey beige). Another brand of nude/beige matte lipsticks always come off chalky & accentuates lip lines.

So surprised, as an indie brand, their lip product doesn't smell like paint or chemical. The scent is really similar to MAC matte lipsticks. It has that vanilla/cake frosting smell. But colourpop have that 'burnt frosting' hint. LOL not annoying though.

Lumiere is a colour that's created in the collaboration with beauty youtubers: Kathleen Lights. She is so cute, beautiful, & lovely. Dusty mauve pink, says Colourpop. Warm pink, with the hint of mauve, & lavender. It's a bummer! The colour on Kathleen is different from Lumiere on me. Boohoo~
“I wanted a color that both bold and shy people could wear. It's not a nude. It would look great on EVERYONE!” - Kathleen Lights

Lumiere on me
So pinky on me. *sigh*

And I got Tootsi. On Colourpop site: cool-toned grey beige, greige, matte colour.
Oh how true that is! Colourpop describe the colour for Tootsi correctly. It's grey, it's beige, it's ON TREND. It makes my lips #OnFleek.

Tootsi on me
LOVE LOVE LOOOVE!
Tootsi Lippie Stix really makes me happy. The perfect nude matte on my skintone. People say I looked sick with this on. WHAT?! It's called GREIGE LIPS, people!

I got them from belanjamimo.com (don't ask on the comment again, please. click here to shop for lippie stix).

So, what do you think? Lumiere, or Tootsi looks better on me?
Have you tried any Colourpop Matte Lippie Stix?

1 Brand Look: Beauty Story Indonesia

17:43 Endi Feng 3 Comments

Hi, y'all!

Another 1 brand look. I will try to do 1 Brand Look as often as I can(once a month), for as long as I got all the basic makeup from 1 particular brand. For this time, I'm featuring a local brand called Beauty Story. If you don't know, or never heard of Beauty Story, CLICK HERE to read my event report about them.

Anyway, you can read about my last 1 Brand Look featuring M.A.C by clicking here.

Was sent some of Beauty Story products by the company. Some I might repurchase in the future. Some are not into my preference.

I love their makeup base.
- Pearl Primer: illuminating makeup primer with sunscreen.
- CC cream: translucent brightener/even-out cream with sunscreen.

I love their lip products as well! For a local brand, and drugstore product, they have great lippies. Although I don't have their lipsticks, I've tried them out at their event, and they are beautiful.

My most favourite is their Lip & Cheek pot. They are not sticky on the cheeks, and although not moisturizing, but provide nice lip color without emphasize lip lines/dry patches/cracks.

Products break down which used in this post(score: * - *****):
1) Luminous Primer: pearly primer with sunscreen. (****),

2) Magical CC cream: dewy finish, SPF30, lightweight. (****),

3) Lip N Cheek "Rose": not sticky, versatile use, compact. (***),

4) Natural BB compact powder "Luminous Sand": although I got the darkest one outta 2, it's still too light for my fairly medium skintone. Hard to build up, not high coverage. (**),

5) Romantic Eye Pencil "Rose Leaf": such a game changer for local brand! This eye pencil is very lovely. Creamy, buildable without crumbling, long lasting. It sets quickly, so blend right away. (****),

6) Mascara Midnight Dream Black: It claims to be volumizing, lengthening, and curling. NOPE. Not curling, Not lengthening, and gives moderate volume. Disappointed, very. The S-shaped mascara brush gave me hard time to build up the mascara. (*),

7) Sweet Lips lipgloss "Pink Rose": Opaque, quite sticky, and has chunks of glitters in it. You wouldn't know it's a very affordable gloss, so sophisticated finish. Hate the packaging though. (***).

Bare Face

Luminous Primer
LOOK AT THAT GLOW!

Magical CC cream
It evens out my skintone, & brightens it up.

Lip N Cheek "ROSE"
A flush of pink on the cheek, & washed pink on the lips.

Natural BB Compact Powder
Mattifying, gives medium coverage, & the darkest shade is still too light for me.

Romantic Eye Pencil "Rose Leaf"
LOVELY! Blend out as shadow, wing out as liner.

Mascara Midnight Dream Black
Sweet Lips lipgloss "Pink Rose"
I will let pictures speaks the truth on both products.

Brows: Fanbo eyebrow pencil "Brown"
Contour-highlight: Sleek Face Form "Light"
Necklace: Forever21.
The title can be a One Brand look, but I always cheat some of the products using another brand.
Beauty Story haven't launch their eyebrow pencil yet, and no sculpting products yet. HAHA. But I have faith in this local brand. They have playful products, & some innovative new obsessions in local competition(Lip N Cheek, Makeup Primer).
And FYI, they are cruelty free, parabens free, sulfates free, phthalates free! They really care about our beauty, and health.

Alright, that's all. What Beauty Story product that intrigue you most?
Lemme know on the comment below.
