REVLON AGE DEFYING Cream Makeup ft. ORIFLAME Perfecting Face Primer

Do you know what aged you? OXYGEN.

Do you know why you got those fine lines on the eyes? Prolly too much smiling/laughing, or wrong finger movements on placing/removing contact lenses.

Everybody WANT to look young.  What's so scaring are nowadays' stresses, pressures, unhealthy lifestyles/diets, and humidity can age our body out SO FAST!

That's why, all of the beauty brands are racing to invent the most sophisticated anti-aging products.  From gold, to diamond. From bird's feces, to lamb's placenta. From rice, to soy-milk extract. Most of them are invented within very high cost.

WHAT TO DO THEN?

It doesn't mean there isn't any affordable anti-aging products. Let me introduce you to the latest REVLON's Age Defying makeup product in Indonesia.

REVLON Age Defying Cream Foundation
This cream foundation provides medium to full coverage, with the benefits of anti-aging agents in it that call as DNA Advantage. Containing Dimethicone[silicone like stuff], lots of glycol-something something, Cotton extract[that's why I can feel my face smoothen out after apply this foundation on], AND Titanium Dioxide[which is a SPF agent, maybe the NAY factor for some of you, because it whitecases your face on photos, but no biggy for me].
Obviously, when it comes to anti-aging products, it should have a creamy texture.  Cream/grease diffuse into skin, make it plumper, and slightly conceal the fine lines on the face.
MY MOM LOVES IT!  My mom is 58 years old, pale face, with wrinkles on the face. I got the 'Honey Beige' shade, which is warm enough for my mom to look younger. TOO BAD mom doesn't want her face appear on my blog. >_<
Blend effortlessly on the face, even without primer/moisturizer beforehand.  Has micro glitters[mica] in it, but it's fine since it doesn't appear obvious.

The thing that NAGS me & my mom so much is the smell! Oh, dear god.. Never experienced any foundation with weird smell like this one. Smell like laundry that just dried after a 4-days nonstop raining/stale tap water/plastic/resin, only god knows what's that smell.
DO NOT apply close to your eyes. Dunno why, it irritates my eyes.
Afterall, my mom loves it. What can I say? And old Chinese proverb says: LISTEN TO MOTHER'S SAYINGS.

So, to neutralize the nagging smell from the foundation, I apply Oriflame perfecting face primer.

Oriflame Beauty Perfecting Face Primer
This silicone based face primer is the new name of the old Oriflame's face primer. LOL  It's obvious because I recognize the smell. I used to use the old one[the one with the deep violet cap on it], so it's just like dating an ex with the very different outfits!  Watery-lotion-like consistency, a very small amount of it is enough to prime the face, because too much of it can cost you lots of time to wait until it dry.
It has the mild apricot smell, and giving a smooth face before applying the foundation on.  A not that bad face primer, but not a better one either. So... If you don't wanna spend big, consider this one though.

my bare cheek[notice the zits, and discoloration on my apples?]
prime my cheek with Oriflame face primer
VOILA! The cream foundie cover the redness of zits, and correct the discoloration.

Convinced to try it out?
Tweet me, or leave a comment below to let me know of what you have in mind.

The foundation is sent by @REVLONid for review purposes, by the recommendation of @stellalee92.
And the primer is given by @phanie14  as a gift.

My Brushes (2010 - 2011)

My brushes since the first time I'm in this field. The first brush set, I bought it from "Stroberi" for Rp 75,000(US$ 9). HAHA! It's an unbranded one though.

And the second brush set I bought was Malijiaer's. Well, from cheap sets, I don't expect I'd get some high-quality brushes. But I'm still grateful that I can create some amazing makeup with them.

SO, in this post I'd like to show you my brushes that I use to do makeup.

FACE BRUSHES

Cerro Qreen duo fibre brush (MUTshop)
I use this to apply liquid foundation when I want a sheer coverage for face

Masami Shouko foundation, & concealer brush
When I want to have a full coverage of foundation, I use this foundie brush. It's great to apply contouring creme as well.  The concealer brush is great as well. Love this petite brush to apply concealer on blemishes, and spots where needed.

Malijiaer powder brush
I'm in love-hate condition with this brush. You know, powder brush should be dense, fluffy, & deliver the powder. But it's not that dense. Yes, it's fluffy, but did you see the bristles? It should be more hair in it to deliver the powder better. But it's great for blend the harsh contouring lines on the cheeks and jawlines.

Unbranded round and angled blush brush
Love these 2 brushes so much! The angled one can be used to contour the cheek bones, temples, & the nose. And the round one is the best to apply press powder blushes(or loose powder/mineral blush if it's damp up with glycerin).

Masami Shouko mask/concealer brush
At first, I use this to apply the concealer. But, instead of putting up the concealer, it EATS my concealer. *sigh* I'll use it for mask next time.

EYES BRUSHES

Malijiaer sponge tip eyeshadow brush, & Masami Shouko flat angled brush
I use this sponge tip brush to set the very first eyeshadow(usually light shimmery color) that touched the eyelid. The angled brush is my best friend when it comes to gel eyeliners.

Lyra no 1, & Malijiaer angled brush
Okay, I'm using this painting brush to smudge eye kohl into the rim of my lashes.  This angled brush I use to fill the brows with eyeshadows. These both are great with gel eyeliner too!

Masami Shouko jumbo eyeshader
I love this brush to set concealer under eyes with powder. It's a great brush to shade the eyes to temples.
Masami Shouko big fluffy eyeshadow brush
It's a great tool to pick up eyeshadow and put it on the eyes. Love this brush. If you want a great eyeshadow brush for a daily basis use, it'll be my recommendation.

Unbranded flat eyeshadow brush
These are my secret weapon when it comes with colors on the eyes.
Masami Shouko medium-small dome brush
These two, these little devils, are my 2 besties! It creates depth when I use it to draw crease line. It's the best brush to create outter V as well. LOVE!
The Body Shop lash comb & brow brush
It's a tool to prevent mascara clumping, and ShinCan's brows.
Unbranded mascara comb & brow brush
These, THESE, helps me a lot on the brows department.
  Unbranded eyeliner & lip brush
I rarely use these both. But when I want to do some art work on the face, I'll find them
NARS(non-authentic) eye blending brush, & Unbranded fan brush
HAHAHAHA yes, I'm still a makeup criminal. Hope to find a great blending brush  to replace it. The fan brush I use to brush off the excess of eyeshadow that fell on the under eye.

LIP BRUSHES
Lyra no 4 & Malijiaer lip brush
These two do the magic so well! The painting brush is so great to build up lipcolor, while the lip brush is great to pick up pigments to hi-light the lips.
My babies in a brush belt
THESE are my brushes, for now. LOL.. Will stock up with another brush soon!

REVLON eyecolours review

Holla, makeup junkies, beauty enthusiasts..  I know, I didn't update my blog that much.  Busy with my family's business lately.  >_<

SO, last month I got a lot of freebies from REVLON Indonesia. Thanks to my dear friend, Stella Lee. Without her, I won't get any. *kuss kuss*
OH, I won @REVLONid twitter's quiz too!  Another way to get freebies. :P
YOU should follow them. WHO DOESN'T LOVE FREE STUFF, ANYWAY?  *giggles*

I want to do a review one by one.  On this post, it's EYECOLOURS time.  Let's go..

REVLON COLORSTAY eyeshadow quad - Inspired
swatches - Inspired
This "Inspired" eyeshadow quad is T-R-I-C-K-Y!  Deep violet, and bright turquoise aren't great combination  to achieve a wearable look. Some might ended up looking as "domestic violence victim" eyes.  Does black/blue eyes ring a bell? Teehee..  BUT, I love these colors.  The mint green, and turquoise are too shimmer for me, however they're great to add an accent on the eye if you wear violet or pink contact lenses[according to color chart theory for makeup].

REVLON COLORSTAY eyeshadow quad - Enchanted
swatches - Enchanted
Are you "Enchanted" by those colors?  I AM!  Look at them.. They are sooo pretty!  So wearable for daily, from day to night, from nude to smoke.  It should be a HAWT item in your makeup pouch.  The shimmer are nice. Love it, like it, you won't go wrong with this quad!

Those REVLON COLORSTAY 16-HOURS eyeshadow quad are prolly my fave of Revlon's eyeshadows so far. Because I've tried the other eyeshadow palette from Revlon, they are so chalky and hard to build the colors.

The Cons of these Colorstay Eyeshadow quad are:
  • Shimmering.  If you got a very wrinkle eyelids/aged eyes, you might want to skip them as they hi-light the wrinkles.
  • Fall outs.  Don't forget the eyeshadow base, foil it as you please, or simply work on your eyes first then the face makeup. Please treat the eyeshadow like any other powder products, if you over apply it on the eyes, it'll cake on you.
  • DO NOT ATTEMPT BY THE 'HOW TO' ON THE PACKAGING'S BACK!  The illustration are not suitable for Asian's eyes, if only you get almond shape or deep set eyes, it'll be your ultimate guidance.
  • It creases.  Like any other eyeshadow, they're facing the same problem. The trick is, like I said, treat them as another powder product. Use it to set the foundation, and eyeshadow base you've applied on the eyes. You can always build up the color, but don't forget to blend it well. Less is more..

REVLON WET/DRY SHADOW - Lava Blast
swatches - Lava Blast
A duo "Lava Blast",  like the name, it gives you a blast on the eyes. It's great to be eyes hi-lighter, apply it on the center of the eyes, it'll make your eyes look rounder.  BUT, it gives another "blast"!  It falls out like mad. Word of advice:  TAP OFF any excess of this product on your brush before apply it on the eyes, or you can foil it with baby moisturizer/eye drops to get a vibrant color & lessen fall outs.

That's it for now.  Will do another REVLON review on the next post.  Keep up with me..! >_<

MAY - Makeup Haul

I'm so lucky, got lots of makeup lately. Well, I bought most of them, and got some for free from my friends. So, here I am, hauling the cosmetics that I got.

FACE

CHANEL Bronzing Gel  -  ILLAMASQUA Light Liquid Foundaation

CHANEL tinted bronzing gel in Bronze.  This gel is watery, light, and gives me a luminous bronze on my face instantly. All I gotta do is just apply my foundation on, and blend a pea size of this product on the cheeks, jaws, foreheads, temples, ears, and neck.  BUT it kinda contain fumes, so if you're allergic to fragrance, you better skip this. The fumes don't sting though.

ILLAMASQUA light liquid foundation in LF 233.  Light weight, blend effort-not so less-ly, sheer to medium coverage[well, actually you can build it up until to full coverage, in case you want a cakey look in the end of the day]. It's scented with a mild milky smell. LOVE IT! The only foundation that actually match my skin tone. Satin finished touch, but become oily at the end of the day. I better prime my face beforehand next time.  AND a huge THANK to Shelley Suryadarma for the personal purchase. *SMOOCHES*

EYES

SLEEK i-divine "OH SO SPECIAL"
swatches [OH SO SPECIAL]

SLEEK i-divine "CHAOS"
swatches [CHAOS]

I already said 'au revoir/adios/sayonara/good bye' to my pre-loved Sari Ayu eyeshadows. :')  SO, I bought another eyeshadow palettes! I choose SLEEK, because the eyeshadows are sooo pigmented, with the price range around 150,000 - 170,000 rupiahs.  ANY EYESHADOWS-CRAZE SHOULD HAVE AT LEAST 2 'SLEEK' PALETTES!

OH! SO SPECIAL:  an eyeshadow palette which is BRAVE enough to contain colors from "bare/nude makeup"  to  "glamor night makeup".  The shimmers are subtle, the matte are satin-ly insane, and the black color is like CARBON!

CHAOS:  imagine you're having a chaos colors[like jammed printer] on your eyes. That's what will you get from this palette. It's an all matte eyeshadow, from velvety to satin finish look.  They are pigmented like crazy. You think I'm exaggerating? LOOK at the swatches! I don't even apply eyeshadow primer/foundation on my hands before I swatch them.

SHOULD I give any reason NOT to LOVE these palette? Umm.. Nah.. Don't have any.

CHEEKS

URBAN DECAY(Score), NYX Mosaic Powder(Hi-lighter), MULTI CHEEK, SILKYGIRL(Sunny Glow), UD Afterglow(Quickie), ILLAMASQUA(Hussy)

NYX, Multi Cheek, Hussy, Quickie, Score, SilkyGirl duo shimmering blush

NYX Mosaic Powder, hi-lighter.  Since the first time I lay my eyes on this product, I was like: "WHOA! What a nice hi-lighter IF I got fair skin with cool undertone."  SO, my advise, runaway from this if you got warm skintone, because it can cause ashy effect on your cheeks.

Multi Cheek blushes. Got it from my tweefellas, @moonlichan. Well, actually she sent me A LOT of her pre-loved makeups(the NYX, Multi Cheek, UD Afterglow are from her). And I adopt 'em like my babies. Thank you, Lidia.. *HUGS n KISSES*  This Multi Cheek blush are shimmering brown. Love it to accentuate more glow/dimension after I apply my CHANEL bronzing gel.

ILLAMASQUA Powder Blush in Hussy.  It's matte bright PINK blush. It's a pretty pink! It stays put for a looong time like OMAIGAAAAT!  Other blushes prolly stays on my cheeks for 3-4 hours, and fade out. But this one, it can last for 6-8 hours on me before it fade out.  MAGIC!

Urban Decay Afterglow Glide-on Cheek Tint in QUICKIE.  OOOH, I love the name of this blush already! LOL  It's a long lasting cheek tint, with a subtle neon-pink color.  Not a huge fan of bright pink blushes, but this one is an exceptional. TOTALLY!

Urban Decay Powder Blush in Score.  Goldish peach color, with a hint of pink. I really love this on my cheeks when I apply bronzer on my face. It gives a natural glow on the cheeks, temples, and chin IF you have a tan/bronze skin.  And I still got the theory where tan/bronze skin are best hi-light with golden blush or hi-lighter.

SILKYGIRL Duo Shimmering Blush in Sunny Glow.  Well, the colors are not so sunny. BUT if you apply it on your tan/bronze skin, it appears as nice glowing pink color. If you apply it on your fair skin, it appears as peachy pink color. It fades quite quick, around 2-3 hours. And it can be a nice hi-light on any skin tone[well, not ebony skintone, it'll become ashy].  I got this from Catra Samoedro. Thank you, Catra...

So, girls. Those are my new members of my beauty case.  If you guys want to know where I got my SLEEK eyeshadow palettes, GO TO WWW.MAKEUPTOOLSHOP.COM
OK, bye now.  See you pretties on the next post, maybe?  *kuss kuss*
