I've been loving Shu Uemura lightbulb liquid foundation for quite sometimes now. I even raved about it between my classmates in beauty school. It gives you glow that you never knew it does exist. So I was really intrigued by this compact. Since this is a powder foundation, it gives you a velvety finish, unlike the liquid one that gives you a dewy finish.

What's unique in this, is their revolutionaire sponge! One side is a latex based compact foundation sponge(can be used wet or dry!), the other side is sealed with a polishing fabric which intended to enhance glows you wanna achieve with this Lightbulb UV compact.

In real life, the compact powder looking a bit shimmery. Prolly it's their glow property, and their physical anti-UV ingredients which can be appear shimmery on powder products. I love this one!
Feeling so light on the skin, buildable from sheer to medium coverage. I did try 'em, but without their sponge. I buffed it on my face using buffing brush.

Calligraph:ink liquid eyeliner pen is a great one! The only downside is not so much in aquaproof area. When I sweat, blot my eyelids using tissue paper, then here and there of my graphic eye design washed away.

This is what I came up with at the event using calligraph:ink liquid eyeliner

Didn't have the chance to try their paperlashes though. It costs around 350k rupiahs a pair for the paperlashes.. *tears*

Demonstrator was Dwi, Shu Uemura Indonesia makeup artist(Plaza Senayan's).
She taught us how to use their newest Lightbulb liquid foundation, & UV Compact using the unique sponge.

My Days ft. Maybelline Indonesia COLORSHOW

 It's April already, my favorite month of the year, because it's my birthday month. Teehee~

 ---

 So, I was invited to a beauty event by Maybelline Indonesia.

The whole thing about COLORSHOW by Maybelline is to DARE TO SHOW OUR COLOR. With dozens of nail polishes, lipsticks, and eyeliner color to choose from, we are dare to show our color more often.. Sooo spring-summery.

Ah, I better show my color too.. ^^

LOL.. Not so much colors on actually. I didn't put anything on my face before the event began, because I knew that we gonna play with colors that day.
LOL LOL

 In the spirit of launching ColorShow line of Maybelline, we bloggers were served with a bunch of nail polishes, lipsticks, and eyeliners to play with.




I love how the nail polish dry quickly, and the color is vivid for a drugstore brand such Maybelline. LOVE IT!

And for the lipstick, the color is so intense with non drying formula. It keeps the lips moist, and the color is quite long lasting if you don't eat or drink often. >_<
Love the finish, not too glossy, and not dead matte either. Creamy finish..
(ps: I applied 2-3 layers of lipstick on. 1 layer's resulting in sheer creamy finish)

As for the eyeliners, I gotta put my hats off for Maybelline in these 2 years to bring innovative eyeliner colors. Last year with their liquid liner, this year is their ColorShow auto-eyeliner, which you don't have to sharpen it! And the color choices are very into my likings. Although, some are glide with ease of the eyes, and some colors are needing extra effort to make the color pop more.

The highlight of the beauty event was the playing with makeup session. A new range of cosmetics from Maybelline Indonesia.
Even better, only us bloggers were the first ones to try COLORSHOW lipstick in South East Asia(Indonesia too)!

Oh how I wish I gotta bring home this lovely makeup case with the cosmetics in it too.. >_<

And here it was what I came out with in the makeup session at the COLORSHOW event. Using COLORSHOW eyeliner Spicy Orange on the inner corner, create cat-like outter V using Ocean Blue and blend upward.
Using Light Peacock Green to rim my waterline, and Inca Gold on my tear duct to highlight the inner corner.

With Medina Sumenep.. Haven't met her since last 2 year! Miss you, missy..

Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-In-Place Makeup Intransferable SPF10

Hi, y'all..

I'm back with another product review. This time is about a foundation that I was eyeing for a long time already. It's Estee Lauder Double Wear liquid foundation.

Well, it's not the first time I experience with this foundation. I tried their previous one, the old formula one, and I didn't like them because it sets on the skin like immediately! No much time for blending, that's why..
But this new formula of Double Wear, I LIKE!

The packaging, glass bottle with screw cap, no pump.

I was attending Estee Lauder Indonesia event last month. And given by them this foundation, and I've give it a go for sometimes now. I like the result, it's not dead matte, yet not shiny either.
Love this foundation to even out my male clients' skintone. I usually mix this foundation with liquid bronzer to give me that healthy glow.

It has no pump to get the product out of its bottle. So you just pour it out, not too hygienic, and when not being careful, we can overpour/spill the product all over ourselves, or worse, on clients. OMG! #knocksonwood


Warm Creme 3W0
Me and digital iMatch device from Estee Lauder Indonesia

I got the shade 'warm creme'.
As in the counter, I tried their digital iMatch device, I got Tawny 3W1.
But can't complain much, this Warm Creme is very similar to my natural skintone as well!
Just a slightly lighter, that's all.
This warm shade has yellow undertone, which I love! And it doesn't smell so bad, because it's fragrance free, so it's just smelling like foundation. HAHA

As you can see.. This foundation is very lovely! It even out my skintone in just one layer! Looking oh so natural too..
I put on this foundation using a flat foundation brush, and not setting it using any powder/spray.
The hollow of my dark circle around the eyes are vanished, as well as the redness around my nose.

I probably will stock up this foundation in another shades. LOL
The texture and finish is almost the same as my all time fave, Face Atelier Ultra Foundation.

BUT, Estee Lauder one is intransferable! Yes, when I blot my sweat using tissue paper, the foundation still stick on my face nicely. Even when I had a call, the foundation didn't licked on my phone's screen! How cool is that? And it's without setting powder, imagine if I set it with powder, and setting spray, it'll stay on your face all day! I believe its claim that says it can lasts up to 15-hours of usage, sweat-proof, and even in a humid condition.

Even when my face oiling up, the sebum seeping through the foundation, it's still looking good, yes?
Only vanish around the tip, and the edges around my nose which I caress when the dust bug me.
And around the mouth which I wipe to clean it from my lunch.

Pond's Flawless White BB+ Cream

Gee.. I'm such a lazy blogger. LOL

I am going to do a quick review on a BB cream that I've been trying for a week now.
It's Pond's Flawless White BB+ cream.

This Flawless White BB+ cream is the new formulated ones by Pond's which came out with 2 shades, Light & Beige.

As you can see, the Light shade is kinda ashy with pink undertone(CMIIW).
It's great for you who has fair-light complexion.
But one thing that I notice was, this Light shade oxidized into a non-flattering shade on my face after 4-5 hours after application. It's looking ashy with an orangey hue. N.G.!

As for the Beige shade, it turns out to be a very yellow beigey shade. It's great for you who has a medium shade of skintone, with strong yellow undertone.
It didn't oxidize as crazy as the Light one.

Coverage wise, it didn't cover much. Sheer, buildable to light/medium coverage.
Note: I always use a little for the 1st layer(size of a piece of corn).



Notice the reddish breakout on my bare cheek? Below my cheek bone, under my 2 freckles there.
After one layer of product spread evenly on the face, it didn't cover it as much of a foundation would do.
It did even out my skintone though. Tame out the reddish cheeks due to the exfoliation (twice a week). And as you can see, it has that kind of velvety, skin like finish. Not a dead matte, not dewy also. SUPER LOVE IT! Hence the perfect oil control. I notice that it only start oiling up after 3-4 hours after application(in my case, it's good. My T-zone can get very oily in an hour or 2). And even when it's oily, it looked good throughout the day.


45 minutes after application, shade Beige all over face, Light for highlight areas

I wore the BB+ cream to go out. In the taxi I took a snap of my face. Notice that I put on my sweater? I just want to try out if this BBcream melt down with my sweat or not.
Turned out, it did not. After I blot my sweat with tissue paper, it didn't transfer on the tissue either.
Once it's set, it's gonna be there on your face.
No blotchy patches, no redness appearing after blotting, Beige all over the face, Light on the forehead, bridge of the nose, C-areas, chin, and cupid bows(highlight areas for my face shape).
SPF 30, PA++ are very useful to sashay away the UV rays. Using chemical, and physical sunscreen ingredient, so expect some white cast on photos(but not scary/unflattering white cast though).


The down sides are:
  1. It fades away after 6 hours of application on me. When I wipe my face using makeup remover cloth, it was just a very faint of tint on it.
  2. The fume got me teary eyes. Avoid to take it very near the eyes.
  3. When I got my hands through my nose, I notice a bunch of comedo bumps. BUMMER! Never experience this after a looong time.. :'|
  4. Cooling effect. Some might like it, some might not. It's funny, because the cooling effect didn't came up everytime I use it, just sometimes.
  5. Just 2 shades to choose. It's a big move for Pond's to add the Beige shade. But I think it's still not enough to suit everyone's skintone.
  6. The packaging. A big tube, only containing BBcream about a third size of it. My friend even doubt it when she bought it, she thought that the product dried up or something. LOL

OK. That's it for now. If there is any updates, I will let you guys know..
Still trying it out.. Just because I love the Beige one. It's really blend in with my skin, only a slight lighter.
